VidUKon

VidUKon is a fan-run convention where vid watchers and vidders gather together to watch, talk about and celebrate fanvids (edits, AMVs, etc!). VidUKon 2025 is taking place in Bristol and online from Friday 30 May to Sunday 1 June.

How to register

Register for VidUKon using our Ticket Tailor registration below. You can register to attend in person or virtually, and you can choose whether to have add-ons. The options are:

  • In-person (£50): choose this if you plan to attend any part of the 2025 con in person in Bristol.
  • In-person with add-ons (£56): choose this if you plan to attend in-person, as above, and you would like to receive the conbook and USB.
  • Virtual (£20): choose this if you plan to attend all of the con virtually.
  • Virtual with add-ons (£26): choose this if you plan to attend all of the con virtually and would like to receive the conbook and USB.

The add-ons are a printed conbook, which contains the full con programme, and a USB stick with all of the premiering vids on it. The USB stick will be enclosed in a DVD case with the 2025 con art. There is no option to choose one add-on and not the other; it is both or none. A PDF of the conbook will be available to all attendees.

If you attend in-person, you will still have the option to attend part of the con virtually (for example, from your hotel room) if you choose.

If you’ve attended in the past, you might have noticed that virtual attendance costs about the same as last year while in-person attendance is significantly less expensive. This is because we will not have catering at the in-person con in 2025. Our new location in Bristol is near a lot of food options that will hopefully be at least as appealing as the catered lunches we provided before. The costs for running the virtual part of a hybrid con have not changed much, mainly due to server costs.

When you register, you will be asked if you would like to join the group vidding workshop. This is a VidUKon tradition in which everyone – either individually or in groups – contributes about 10 seconds to a big Frankenvid that then premieres at the con. Your answer to this question isn’t binding but helps us get an idea of the likely number of Frankenvidders.

After you register you should receive a confirmation email from Ticket Tailor. You will also receive an email from us with login details so that you can access the virtual con. Please note that we are still building the functionality for this year’s virtual con, so it will be some time before you receive this second email. The functionality for submitting vids is also still currently being built – please bear with us!
